Happy campers: 99% of Thais 'satisfied' with govt, says govt poll
By Coconuts Bangkok

BANGKOK: -- It's the kind of approval ratings Kim Jong-un would be proud of.

The Thai government says 99 percent of people are happy with its performance, according to, er, a government poll released last night.

The poll by the National Statistical Office, past of the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, found that 99.3 percent of people surveyed were satisfied with the government's overall performance while 98.9 percent were confident in its abilities to solve the country's problems, Bangkok Post reported.

Yeah, right!

I am not entirely convinced !bah.gif

Let's hope they will never make the mistake to say that 101% is happy with super general.

If they were bright enough to work out how completely ridiculous this makes them look I'd be worried but – rather – it simply underlines the absurdity of this cabal.

Might as well say 100% with the asterisk...

*IF you disagree, 100-years in prison and your vote will be changed to agree...

Can't even get propaganda right. They're supposed to make the numbers a little bit believable.

"Hello, we'd like to ask you some questions. Please speak into the gun"

Wow, I really must be living in an area where a sizable portion of those remaining 0.7% are concentrated, a hub full of dissidents and brimming with ingrates who constantly huff and puff and whine about the government at any given opportunity.

Please beg my pardon, but I am extremely skeptical about this survey, the methodology it deployed, how respondents were selected and the results calculated. In a democracy, an approval rating for anything amounting to a figure like 99.3% simply is a factual impossibility.

My own personal poll conflicts with this a bit [emoji6]

Oh yee of little faith, cynic, of course it's true, it's on the internet!

And besides that, Uncle Too, said so!

Are you (IP 201.104.27.539) convinced now?

;-)

They didn't claim 100% because that would have sounded fishy.

I bet they asked their questions using this kind of microphone..

I've said it before in another thread long ago that had a similarly absurd and unbelievable story:

Thailand: an acid trip without the acid

One could not make this stuff up! Anyway, congratulations to the junta for congratulating themselves!

Amazing Thailand , many may not believe this Government Poll , More lies at least make it believable say 82%

It's supposed to be Christmas and new years coming. Not April fools day!

I do however like the comparison so N. Korea's leader.

If someone was inclined to think these polls are rigged to favor the Government then this poll would confirm that......just sayin

For all the thaier than thai posters on here..

"It is OK to doubt what you have learned to believe".

Methinks Saddam Hussein's pollster crew somehow found new jobs in Thailand.

Who is the 1% that disagrees?

They need attitude adjustment!

His name is not Uncle Too.

It is Dr. No.

99% of me agrees with that name.

And 100% of people believe that general clusterf#ck has mistaken Kim Jung-un's autobiography as being non fiction.

In the great tradition of Thanom, Sarit, and Phibunsongkhram. It's reassuring to see this fine old heritage still alive and well.

But OF COURSE they are!

Of course!
