BANGKOK — The newly renovated domestic terminal at Don Mueang Airport opened today.

After 8 years of renovation, Passenger Terminal 2 opened at 3am this morning, Dec. 24, to ease passenger congestion caused by low-cost carriers.

Terminal 1 is still used for international flights and will be renovated in the future as well.

Dont want photos of inside I want to know how to get to it from the road in relation to terminal 1

Barely worth writing.

From the southern exit of T1 to the northern entrance of T2 about a 100 m. A minute walk.

Two adjacent halls.

On the left the corner of T1, on the right T2:

Hopefully they have some better food options. KFC,McD's,Burger King a Coffee Company with overpriced sandwiches and salads and one Asian outlet? Last time I was there the 7 had run out of water......

Did take an overpriced salad and a Whopper, burger was not good.

Ohh! that's just lovelyfacepalm.gif

You're off-topic mentioning that yellow skirt. tongue.png

Have they still got the golf course beside the runway?

Haven't been there for 8 years.

I remember the days when you drove past the rice paddies to get to Don Muang and American agents worked in the back helping the Thai customs officials looking for heroin going out of the country, 40-45 years ago.

Yes, it's still there. The strangest place for a golf course, but, TIT.

And if they now build a car park they can call it an airport!

I was assigned temporary duty at a small support post near the airport and in the middle of a rice paddy. The post was built on land fill on top of the field and walking from the main road to the post at night was always a treat due to snakes crossing the small road from one field to the next. smile.png
