I have heard conflicting information. 18, 20 & 21 years old. Does anyone know the correct age of a Thai girl to legally have sex with her. I am an older guy and I like them young but not illegal.

Actually it's my understanding that 18 year olds can work as dancers in gogos. When gogos are raided it's only girls who are under 18 that are taken in.

Please bear in mind that your home country may have extraterritorial laws regarding sex with people who are underage.

The US is quite serious in the prosecution of its citizens for this type of crime.. Basically anyone under the age of 18 is off limits, money or no money. If you do some google research, you will find cases where Americans have been sent back to the US, tried, convicted, and jailed there. Other countries have these laws as well.

15 for non-promiscuous sex, usually means parental consent, or getting married (which needs parental consent). In this case, the non-promiscuous nature of the relationship must be proven to avoid problems if anyone decides to make problems.

18 for any other purposes, including prostitution.

No, neither selling nor buying sex for money is illegal in Thailand, although most aspects of commercially organized prostitution are (meaning brothels, pimping, procuring... all illegal).

beyond the mistake in understanding - paedophilia is being attracted to pre-pubescent youths, generally younger than 11 or 12 - what is wrong with staying within legal boundaries?

Lady Justice is represented holding balance scales and blindfolded - there are reasons for that. Intolerant bigots are one of them.

In Sri Lanka, according to Wikipedia a girl under 12 can get married under certain conditions- are all Sri Lankan males paedos? It's not up to you to dictate what is legal or not, and the OP was asking for the LEGAL age.

PS I don't know why the OP is still confused- from the info given it is obviously 18 with reference to him. That would be obvious from even a superficial Wikipedia read.

In the Western world, where most of us originate from, sex with somebody below the age of consent is classed as paedophilia. Even if the underage person consents, you will be convicted and put in a nonce wing in jail.

Perhaps one of the 'pro brigade' has a family member, say daughter or niece, they can offer to the OP for his self gratification, as you all seem to be in favour of it, as long as puberty has been reached ?
