places to visit in new year holiday?

Hi guys,

with some friends and family planning to visit some place that nearby to BKK,

I got some suggestion to : sonhjla buri, river side around kanchanaburi, another suggestion is Khao Yai park for 1 or night camping,

any idea, or suggestions about the above options? or any other suggested ideas?

Many other..the floating market is a great day....so much food you will burst and very scenic. There is a park (forget the name) nearby which is maintained by the royal conservancy and displays many tropical and native trees and plants...also an area where they show how to make palm sugar....a great day out...can take a van from Victory Monument...maybe about 300 baht per person.

we drive our own cars, however some guys are suggestion khao yai,

i been there few times, i likes the camping there, but not sure how the traffic to get there?

Avoid night driving at all costs and be very careful...many people on the road this weekend...and some may not be sober.

Good luck traveling anywhere over the new year period,road blocks,road works and a huge increase in the numbers of road users has taught me to avoid travelling anywhere here during any extended holiday period,I travel at these times only out of necessity.

What should be an opportunity to enjoy a nice break usually turns into sitting in traffic,struggling to find accommodation and is normally the complete opposite of what one is attempting to achieve in the first instance.

Thanks a lot guys,, I do agree with you, traveling during new year / songkran is really unwanted hassle, to turn the pleasure in boring journey, that's beside the high risk of road accidents !

We used to travel to khao yai with our tents packed in car and camp there, as our tents are ready now but the worries about how many hours to reach there? and can we find a space to spread our tents or all camping sites are overwhelmed over there?

However, my best wished to have happy and peaceful celebrations with your family members and beloved ones, maybe this new year 2016 be a peaceful year full of joys, happiness, health and weather and more prosperity! to all of you guys and to the rest or human societies !
