Probably my favourite piece of music at the moment - Percy Mayfield wrote it and i have read it was Count Baise doing the backing .

Elvis - Reconsider Baby.....Long version....His voice was almost too young for the song

I would agree with his voice being almost too young but it is still great. I have never heard that version - at first i would have thought it came from Sam Phillips and the Sun Sessions , not RCA where it apparently recorded according to the You Tube notes. Great piano and that sax is exceptional .

Thanks

I must admit i don't think i have ever heard Willie play a guitar - always that great double bass .

But his most renowned track would probably be this one - just don't go singing the lyrics in the wrong places or you might find yourself in the wrong place biggrin.png .

Johnny's older (?) brother Edgar - used to play this a lot in the early 70's . The rest of the album is a lot more bluesy that this track
