Does anybody have suggestions for restaurants that specialize in vegetarian food? Particularly, ones that understand vegan, and cook it?

Or just any good (but cheap) places that serve some vegan dishes?

I know of one on the south west corner of South Pattaya and Third Road.

"Mang sawelad"= vegetarian food

"Che" = vegan food

From 21.10. - 31.10. the Thaichinese community invites everybody nationwide to eat "Che". Many places will sell vegan food, easy to spot; watch out for yellow signs and flags with red Thai- (เจ) or chinese letters on it.

In chinese Temples you can eat "Che" for FREE!! ( Some Tempels you can do this the whole year)

If you like, you can dress yourself komplete in white or just a white T- shirt, keep the Rolex and jewellery at home and join the "Che"- community. I am sure you will meet some nice people
