Prayut turns down Democrat's request to hold party meeting
The Nation

BANGKOK: -- Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said Wednesday that he would not yet allow the Democrat Party to hold a party meeting.

"I won't allow it for now," Prayut said when reporters told him of the Democrat's plan to request a permission for holding a meeting.

It was reported that the Democrat planned to hold a party meeting so that it could take actions against embattled Bangkok Governor Sukhumbhand Paribatra, who has been hit by a series of scandals.

How refreshing. DEMS request meeting. Request denied. End of story.

No protests, threats or the denouncing of Prayut.

The Dem's willingness to bend over for the military was never in question.

Perhaps they can dash down to the U.S. Embassy again and vent their anger there, with full immunity.

I see.

Jamie what are your thoughts on the 200 nationalists led by the 'monk' Phra Issara on the US embassy holding poorly written, offensive signs having absolutely no reppercusions. Also it seems the other 'monk' Suthep is allowed to have a political group. This was of course, at the same time students were arrested and threatened with violence for traveling to Rajabhakti to protest alleged corruption there.

I look forward to your non-reply.

How refreshing. Posing for PR (as if the present government ever breaks up meetings or protests its friends have).

Absolutely insincere. End of story.

No fool would swallow this without a protest, a threat or denouncing someone.

Can only be allowed if the 100% non-political monk brother Issara is in charge..................

This monk makes Donald Trumph look like an extreme left-winger..........................coffee1.gif

I sure that one of the people in the Dem. party have a resort somewhere in Thailand. Why bother asking ?

They can have all the meetings they want. It doesn't matter. They cannot make or change any laws.

So what is the point ?

The Democrats knew Prayudwould turn them down but hey want to remind their supporters they are still around and want to be seen to be doing something. I hope Dr Surin takes over as leader.

The last comment is just stupid... I hope you waste away waiting! donkey!

Stupid? No pretty justified. I know no reply will be forthcoming because there is no way for him to justify it.

Who are you anyway? His acolyte?

Yet. Bear in mind they can get together with him for drinks and talk it over, which the UDD can't.

The way I read it is that there hasn't been a request yet, just news about planning a request, and that of course there also hasn't been an official refusal as of yet.

But you seem to have another news story then the others.

Time for Marl to have a sightseeing trip to Singapore with his Yes sayer to the army.

The money must be running low so if this goes on for a couple of years even the HiSo of Bangkok don't need the Dems more as they are already in bed with the army.

They could also simply travel to Cambodia and meet there, or make a video conference.

Yes, just like some other party which top members regularly meet it's owner abroad.

Don't be too hasty Suthep in his own words was in touch with, and advising General Prayuth on a daily basis.

That's about the only thing distractors like to believe was a true word spoken by Suthep. normally all he says is denounced as untrue, not relevant, or to be ignored.

Anyway, Suthep got out of the Democratic Party, so whether or not the current government let's the Democrat Party gather should be of no interest to Suthep and just mentioning seems the normal distracting some like to go into.

There willingness to not resorting to violence wasn't either.

Have a lovely day my friend.

So? Do you have knowledge that Suthep is still a Democrat Party member? Do you have knowledge that PM Prayut is influenced / advised by Suthep to deny the Democrat Party to hold a party meeting?

If the answer is 'no' as I expect it to be, mentioning Suthep here is just a distraction.

.

Lord have mercy, aren't you good at twisting things!!

In the post you first commented on, I wrote : "Suthep and the Democrats.:" By that I meant : Suthep AND the Democrats. In no way did I indicate that Suthep was a member of the Democrat Party.

If I had written : " Thaksin and the Democrats" You would have concluded, that Mr T is a member of the Democrat Party??

Edit: made a mess of the quotes, but of course a reply to rubl above.
