Hehehe, yes, you need to adapt to Thai prices wink.png

You probably don't want to know how much an Audi with these safety features would cost. Or how long you'd have to wait for it wink.png

..and while we pay more for a car that is less well speced than the overseas equivalent, service is much cheaper and resale much better here. So for Japanese cars at least, I reckon the costs even themselves out over a period of time.

The Prado has only gotten better over the years, so it wouldn't be a fair fight to compare the Everest to an older one ;)

In Thailand is not correct to compare this is car. Prado NOT sell oficial, so not service and country garanty from Toyota.

And price near DOUBLE different.

In Thailand very poor choice of cars.

And I total do not agree "hat is less well speced than the overseas equivalent, service is much cheaper and resale much better here. "

because:

1. Not have quality service(i do not see, may be some can show me?) "the overseas equivalent". I even can't find NORMAL carwash in Chiang Mai( before in Bangkok, Pattaya)

2. Total cost use its be up than in some other countries.

rolleyes.gif

I do not know about pick up i see in Thailand its low cost but its not my style and needs.

PS

if i need some i buy Wildtracktongue.png in my opinion it's great choice design +specifications .

About Everest i am not sure. Yes some its fine. But its still pick up same Fortuner.

Its not same comfort as in Prado. Offroad i am not sure it same Prado but Prado its too not really offroad car.thumbsup.gif

For me a big surprise that many top specification car Thailand no ventilation seat. In my opinion its VERY important function whan have offer leather seats.

Last time I wash up in Chiangmai, I used the "Diamond" car wash on the corner of the 121 and 118. They seemed to have the right equipment, but they looked at me funny when I told them not to hand wash, or dry, the car :P

I hate swirls :D

If you're after full wash and wax, go to one of the Meguiar's detailing places. I've seen at least two of them in Chiangmai.

Err, you mentioned the Prado as a preferred choice to the Everest. I just pointed out that in territories where the are both sold, the Everest is winning all the head to head tests.

Hi guys,

One Question. The Dealer told me that it is not possible to do Leather Seats (Honda Upgrade by Manufactur) to a Honda City SV+ as it will block the Airbags. Is that true or is he fooling me? Its about the 6 Airbag Version.

It's true.

Front airbags come out of the passenger's dash, and the driver's steering wheel.

Curtain airbags come out of the roof lining.

Side airbags come out of the front chairs - right next to your shoulder/arm.

I do not know what kind test winning.

But everest its not on class Prado

Test offroad? Ha ha Everest only One diff

And i am look spec avaible in Australia. I am not risk go offroad if not change lower-profile rubber.

So offroad test win Everest?

Engine 4.0 l Everest have?

if talk about spec option . its more avaible from Prado.

for me its different class cars.

Prado its comfort midle class offroad SUV

Everest its for road and bad roads(somr times litle offroad) with top comfort in class(fortuner, pajero sport etc)

So i do not know What test is win Everest.wink.pngwai.gif

OK, because you don't like reading the comparisons I already posted, here's a video for you :)

So what I understand is that it hopefully will change the next years as more people like safety.

In this price range, don't count on it.

Ford trailblazed the <1M Baht segment with the original 1.6L Fiesta back in 2010 - the first sub 1M Baht car in Thailand to offer not only the full set of bags, but also the first with traction control and stability control. But the bags were reduced to just 2 in the 2015 minor change, after they learnt, the hard way, that the market in this price bracket just wouldn't pay for them.

In the > 1M Baht range, yes, safety features become important to the Thai buyer.

Again, Ford is setting the standard to beat in the 1M-2M range with the 2016 Ranger and Everest - top models in these have not only the full set of bags, TCS and VCS, but also with lane keeping assist, forward collision warning, rollover mitigation, roll stability control, blind spot alert, driver alert system, cross traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, and auto high beam control... But this time around they've created models a step down without these features to satisfy buyers that won't pay the premium..

Thanks for the information. I am honest with you who is willing to pay 1 to 2 Million THB for a Car which is really not a high quality car ? Yes Ford is good but compared to Audi... no way.

I mean I come from the car country No 1 and I can get an amazing Audi A6 for 1.5 Million THB new ... It is another discussion (Thai Cars or the taxes are completely overpriced , therefore gasoline is cheap)

I see now that Thai People dont care that much about Airbags and they not willing to pay extra in the lower price range. And even 700.000 THB for a Honda City is completely overpriced for that kind of quality you get.

But yeah another discussion smile.png Thanks also for the share with the accident.

Follow Up question: Can u recommend a Type One Insurance that replace the airbags? Viriyah? Muang Thai?

You ain't in Stuttgart or Munich anymore...get a grip! You want an Audi...how does 3-10M baht grab you?

Its not real test

it is a subjective decision of a few people (and possibly one)

Test its when have some DATA.

And even at this is decision it funny( same another "test" about Everest vs Prado)

Prado its better ofroad, have some more multimedia fuctional, uel tank twice - then twice more will pass without refueling, which is very important for offroad, interservice run over (by the way how much cost service, if simular so it mean cost Everest up) ,But Everest winnerbiggrin.pngcheesy.gif

Its look like advertising video. NOT testwhistling.gif

ha ha.

Maybe you should post over here instead: http://www.caradvice.com.au/406863/ford-everest-titanium-v-toyota-prado-vx-comparison-review Where there's people who can actually choose between both cars smile.png

For the rest of us buying cars in TH, the main take out is that the Everest beats Toyota's SUV a whole step up from the Fortuner - so it makes any comparisons against the Fortuner kinda moot, right? smile.png We actually don't really care about the Prado itself - just how outclassed the 'Tuna is in Everest's company :P

Why worry about cars you can't buy? biggrin.png

I live not only in Thailand so i can talk becouse its CAN buy.

But in Thailand YES very poor!!! choice.

And before i say Fortuner its first srap what i take from Toyota. if i know HOW is i never buy . so if was once again faced with the choice it would be possible Everestwhistling.gif

But in jenother market where have BIG choice car i even no have idea about this is kind car.

And ofcouse LC Prado 150 ( I am not sure even it better 120 ) its not perfect car even not really ofroad, but Everest is true not in class Pradocoffee1.gif

All people have self preference

But it really silly testclap2.gif

Not have any objective data and parameters for comparison.

How is calculate who winner?

cheesy.gif

and calculate space for luggage is silly.

Everest -from the floor to roof

Prado- from the floor to the top of the seat backs

Airbags are all very well but better to start off with a stronger bodyshell that incorporates better/more safety features but you have to pay more, of course.
