When I grew up my family and me use this device to eat from it...even in later years I still hold on to this habit until I met my wife...

Her current excuse is that she has to hide everything due of our toddler...but to be honest the years before junior weren't different....

Though for what do you use this actual practical piece of furniture???

....and Maejomtb no reply required,we know already...555

We have a dining room table and it is used at meal time and stays pretty cleared....

If anyone is guilty about parking stuff on it once in awhile it's me but usually only for a short while during whatever it is I'm puttering with.....It's the biggest cleared surface......

A proper place for everything including this little 28" spicy salami/pepperoni/mushroom/crab/garlic gem.....1st piece taken before I could get a pic.....That's what a table is for !!!!

Though it seems I am the only one who is blessed with a wife wich is a performance artist with kitchen tables...

What sort of performance is that?

A kitchen table reminds me of one of the first times I ------------------?

...had a meal with my family???

Is that the only thing you have ever used the kitchen table for?

Were you not talking about your wifes performance?

So where do you sit and eat then?

On the settee of course. Haven't you heard of a tray?

And balance a tray with a plate of hot food and bowl of soup and a glass of water on your lap? And use a knife & fork? It is ok if you are slurping on a bowl of noodle soup using chop sticks.

This is the only handy table shot I seem to have on file. I suppose the island in the kitchen area gets more of the clutter though we do write at the table between meals.
