Am I able to get a work permit on a marriage visa? I've worked at the same school on a Non-Im B Visa for the last twelve years, but it looks as if I won't be able to go the same route again this year. The school wants to employ me, but the Labour Office may not be able to, although they are helpful and have been flexible over the last couple of years. If I'm unable to go the WP to Visa route, I'll need to get a marriage visa and then TRY to get a WP with that!!! I've been married to my Thai wife for thirteen years and we have an eleven year old daughter. Your view and ideas would be appreciated.

  • One more question!! How much does a marriage visa cost? (I already have the 400,000 in the bank).

A multiple entry non-o visa costs 5000 baht at an embassy or consulate.

The fee or an extension of stay at immigration is 1900 baht.
