Sad way to end this young life. Raises up a lot of questions on child labor and that he was "the breadwinner" for a Thai family at the age of 15. Working/living on his own at the mercy of other Thais.

I can't see the relevance between a young person being hit by a stray bullet and child labor rules / laws and Working/living on his own at the mercy of other Thais.

had the boy stayed in school instead of earning money for his family, he would not have died. so the issue if child labor laws are indeed valid. specially, that this situation repeats itself among numerous families in Thailand.

Sounds like a decent, hard working kid. Such a shame. One never knows when the grim reaper will decide our time is up. Savor every day for what it is worth, which is alot!

Hope the keystone cops are able to identify the murderers, and hope they are not from influential or wealthy families. If not, the punishment they deserve is possible. If so, just another case like Nomsod.

Poor kid deserved better than that.

Guns don't kill people, stupid people with guns kill people.

Guns makes people to do stupid things. War?

And if they didn't have guns in the first place, because of serious gun controls and some decent police work, then it wouldn't have happened at all.

On a different point, in the world at large the rich are getting richer and the poor getting poorer in almost every country including the giants, all meaning more and more people left behind and in many cases not their fault.

IMHO the world desperately needs some new thinking, new values, new legislation which stops & reduced the wealth gap and gives much more help to the low income citizens, gives them more education and provides, by policies, more opportunities.

It seems to me unless this happens the world will eventually implode and those that suffer most the poor and those with no opportunities.

May the young man rest in peace and heart felt condolences to the family.

You don't keep up with the news do you.

Yes I do.

I also know that it doesn't matter what has been said in the past by some callous scumbag in a different tragedy.

It doesn't justify repeating it to score points or out of some sense of anger in one such as this.

Oh dear. High horse moment. Bait n hook. Impact?

Oh dear, sad sack moment. Full is it?

Another one gets knocked off his high horse. Candy from a baby. Need more of a challenge though.

Take away the guns and you are left with stupid. Maybe I am wrong but just stupidity on its own as far as I can remember never killed anyone. I hope they get these guys who did it and lock them up for life. Anything less is a miscarriage of justice

I wonder if the parents will be told to go home and make a new one, or not to worry, as they will be back in 30 days & maybe luckier next time.

Unfortunately, that is exactly the attitude here.

This is why, there is no regard for life!

I wonder what has traumatised and dehumanised you to the extent that you could make such a callous comment.

Bluespunk, he's referencing the thread from the other day about the girl who lost her sister.

Measures to prevent stupid people having guns will stop stupid people using guns to kill people.

Because it's a serious topic, the poster should be free to comment on the awful justice system and related events. Now is the time to comment, and not be hushed up by the high horse PC brigade.

Your comment has been made by many posters before you.

The point is, IMHO, that this topic should not be a source for sarcasm or jokes or comments about a teacher's English etc.

Posters should show respect.

Just sayin

Sure comment, but make it a clear comment not some obscure piece of text graffiti!

It would be nice to have the Police out patrolling streets and not tucked away in their booths

But I guess someone at some stage has to teach them what to do....

So I guess you want the 15 year olds to drift around after graduation doing nothing? I think you need to know more about Thai education system before having an opinion.

THE very sad part in this report is that the boy, R.I.P., didn't belong to one of the numerous gangs driving/roaming around involved stupid and useless violence and crimes.

Poor people can't afford to let their children continue with their education and to my knowledge, the story don't tell if a his father was still around providing for the family.

My highest regard and condolences to the boy and his family.

I only wish every person in this world would be as responsible as this 15 year old, but now, by the worst type of idiots, struck down in his efforts to elevate his family's future.

Guns makes people to do stupid things. War?

Violent people kill people regardless if guns or any other weapons involved. War is result of a group of organized violent people with an agenda.

My god is someone trying to bring in the "Everyone should have guns it's just a shame that stupid people had them" this time argument?

A 15 year old lays dead. If the gangs didn't have such easy access to guns he'd be alive now.

RIP young soul.

what a sad way to die.

such bad luck.

more needs to be done about violent idiots.

Idiots with guns, Thais should not be allowed to own guns. applies to other countries as well USA in particular.

Your sentiment is good, heart in the right place however, according to the OP photo caption, this happened on Monday evening, so this poor kid wouldn't have been in school anyway.

I don't know about this particular gang, but generally speaking, a lot of this young gang activity originates in school, and spills out onto the streets from there.

This is the reality in this failed country managed by failed people with failed mentality.

Was it any different when there were "elected governments"?

I will give you a small clue.

no,

Calling this an accident is a real travesty. Killing someone while trying to kill someone else is murder!

I suspect it would be manslaughter as he was not the target.

If it was deliberately aimed at him, then I would agree it would be murder, but he was not involved in any way. Just an innocent bystander.

I hope some of all the CCTV cameras recorded this, so the guilty little brats can get prosecuted.

no prison time here , after all it was a accident , just say "sorry" and report to the police all will be forgiven if the baht count is right . how could the anyone call this a accident ? ...................
