I visited this rowdy type of restaurant with live bands playing but it was mostly an issan crowd. A more rowdy tawendeng is what i can describe it.

I forgot the name of it but i can recall the entrance of the restaurant i thought it was rim beung but i doubt it now because from the pictures it doesn't look from my recollection of the place.

On google maps i think i have managed to find the restaurant unfortunately it isn't listed at all on the map and i only managed to identify it using streetview of google maps. The petrol station is listed however and it is LPG so i marked it down.

Here is the link of the restaurant on google maps. pls change to streetview as the link shows the petrol station next to it the signboard of the restaurant is entirely in thai so i cannot read it.

I think that's the one called saeng jan. Like wan jan, Monday. The music depends on what bands are playing that night. The schedule is at the front.

Edit. Yes, saeng jan. I can't see the street view buy saw it written above your red thing. โรงเหล้าแสงจันทร์. Saeng jan i don't know how to translate the first part. Beer garden. Alcohol garden. Beer hall. BAR! 55

"Rong lao saengchan wang thonglang" or "Rohng lâo săeng jan wang-tong-lăang"

(second transcript fits better for English language readers)

Rong is very ambiguous for all kind of (public) buildings, structures.

Lao = liquor, spirit

Saengchan = moonlight

Wang Thonglang is the name of the district within Bangkok.

Thai script is not allowed here.

And it indeed also serves as am outdoor "beer garden":

To the guys that replied thanks a lot. When you mention the name san jeung it just hit me. Yes i recall my thai buddies mentioning that name. I don't know why i got that resturant mixed up with rim beung which is a restaurant that i also visited that serves issan food but is a quiet relaxing place with fishes at the garden.

PS the resturant is actually listed on google map but it's named "shelter"

Not too far from "Town in Town" district. I attended a cast/crew party there a couple of years ago with after shooting a commercial at a studio nearby. Decent food, not at all expensive.

Happy to finally know the name. I always wanted to go back there but did not know how to direct a taxi. Thank you.
