Similarity between Italy and Thailand in General

Recommended Posts

My grandad used to tell me how nobody trusted the Italians during the war. One moment they would claim to be allies, but when under threat of attack they turned around and started firing.

This is similar to thailand in that it pretends to be allied with outher countries but will be willing to stab in back as long as its not to the face.

Anotehr similarliyt is the politicains

Berlusconi has been implicated with the Mafia, not just by the papers, but by the mafia themselves in their memoirs and books about. Berlusconi still managed to hold onto power for many years.

I notice many similar characteristics between Italians and Thai, the voice, the cadence

As an Italian I don't see much similarity at all.

Maybe you are right about the cadence, both fully pronounce every syllable in a standard way from the letters, not like English where every word is mumbled and pronounced irregular.

But for character, god it was so hard when I arrived and Thai people seemed so cold and unfriendly, and unable to express themselves. I understand it is their culture, but where is the physical aspect when communicating? I still hate it when you say goodbye to someone and they just give a little wave. When I first arrived I had to restrain myself so I didnt touch people and freak them out. Now after three years... my italian friends think I am cold haha..

In terms of culture the only similarity I can think of, coming from Sicily, is that both places are totally ignorant/uninterested in English culture and pop references. Oh! I guess both also love to shop, or just walk around shopping malls.

Italian restaurants in Thailand are better than most other countries. In fact, some of the best Italian food I've eaten anywhere has been in Chiang Mai. One sees more Thais in Italian restaurants Than foreigners here. This is not surprising because both countries favourite food is the same only cooked differently. Two of the main dishes of Thailand are noodles and rice. In Italy, is spaghetti and possibly rissotto. as for myself, they are my favourite nationalities. In Italy, the people in the North are very different from the people in the south, as in Thailand. My last wife was Italian and my present wife is Thai. Can I compare them? Not really

Comparing Italy to Thailand is like comparing the French Riviera to Blackpool.

the only place in Thailand. That compares to Blackpool is Pattaya. the same sort of Brits inhabit both places.

Italy is certainly the most beautiful countries in the world that has elevated art and elegance in everyday practice.

Reduce to mistake a short period cloudy is nonsense

Nonsense also to compare with Thailand which has other qualities.
