Maria, mariaaaaaa. If you’re of a certain generation then we’re pretty sure this is your favorite Santana song. If “Black Magic Woman” is more your jam, then you probably don’t identify as a millennial or you just have great taste. In which case, let’s hang out.

Either way, get excited, because the grandmaster guitarist himself will be serenading Bangkokians on February 29, 2016. Carlos Santana will take to the stage at Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani and he’ll be joined by local rock legends Carabao.

Santana rose to fame in the 1960’s and 1970’s, when there were few Latino musicians in America’s burgeoning rock scene. He got his start all the way back at the Woodstock Festival in 1969. At the time, his band Santana was unknown to the massive crowds in New York, but after an eleven-minute instrumental rendition of “Soul Sacrifice" his guitar skills quickly became a thing of legend.

Saw a video of Carrabao and Santana, jamming. Made my toes curl what Carrabao himself made of it or better say NOT made of it.

Let's see if they improved. Lead guitarist wasn't all that bad.

Who wants to see a legend on stage with a lousy Thai copycat. Next is probably a concert with the Scorpions as another well of "his" musical creativity.

Should be a good concert!

I remember Santana's crisp clear notes when I was in the front row of a concert that I attended.

He hit a high note at a volume that made me "Cringe" and felt my ears pained.

I now have tinnitus (continual ringing in my ears) from the lovely experience!

Moral of the story...put something in your ears IF you are seated front and center!

Cheers.

Absolute nonsense

Santana are legendary, but in their own way so are Carabao. There music and lyrics cover a far wider ambit than Santanas and their lyrics are as fresh and socially relevant as the day they were penned

I will definitely be going. When do tix go on sale? Blew off Elton, he's one of the worlds 4 best guitarists. When Jerry was alive he would be in the top 5

Tickets went on sale back in December.

You can be sure I am not buying Tickets for Santana Madonna is also coming but she does not have a local singer with here

Madonna is not in the same universe as Carlos. Have a good time at the puppy show

August West is right on the mark, but without a doubt Jerry was the greatest in every which way-tone, phrasing, depth, and on and on.

We miss Jerry.......

Btw, you do know that Jerry came to Thailand many times.

He was an avid diver thumbsup.gif
