cherryboy Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 Would you advise if its possible to open a Bangkok Bank account, while I'm still here in the USA?? tHANKS.
mrmnp Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 I doubt it, as they require passport of farang and copy thereof in their file for identification purposes. Also your status must be verified for immigration legality. If would help if the purpose and your reason for choosing Bangkok Bank is known. I do know Bangkok Bank does have a correspondent bank in New York. A letter to Bangkok Bank requesting accomodation might help. Citibank is in Thailand and certainly in many places in the U.S. They may be able to facilitate what you are trying to do.
