My mate had a double entry tourist visa which has now finished and on his last 30 day extension, he lives in Phetchabun where's the best place to get a new tourist visa ? Thanks

If travelling from Phetchabun,Laos would be easiest.

Travel up to Nong Khai and head to Vientiane.

Does he have transport or will he be using public transport ?

Travel to Nong Khai park the car. Go to the bridge and depart the country, cross the bridge, get a Lao visa arrival and enter Laos.

Then be at the consular section of the embassy in between 8:30 am and 11:30 am to apply for a single entry tourist visa and then pick it up the next afternoon at 2 pm.
