Non-Immigrant O / Can it be extended / Pattaya ?

Featured Replies

Friend needs to know if the above visa can be extended or what his best options are to get another 3 weeks, so he can stay until he has to fly back home. Thank you all. MS>

He could get a 60 day extension if he is married or has Thai children.

Depends on the reason for the visa being issued .

At best a 60 day extension to visit a wife can be applied for at worst 7 days to leave the country.

Thank you all. No wife or kids :-) So best he does a side-trip by plane and gets another 30 days as he requires 3 weeks more. THX again MS>

whistling.gif If he has a true 1year non O multiple entry visa then each entry gets him admitted for a 90 day stay.

So if he leaves Thailand for a neighboring country 2 days before his visa expires, and returns the next day with 1 day still left on his visa before it expires......h will still get a 90 day "permitted to stay stamp" on entry.

That "permitted to stay" stamp will allow him to stay 90 days.....even after his actual visa expires.

That is how you get 15 months out of a one year (12 month) multiple re-entry Non O visa.

If it is single entry visa, then will need a border run - can get 30 days at airport or if from G7 countries, can get the same at land border - for most other countries, only 15 days if using a land border.
