Hotel/Resort Near Mahidol Salaya Campus?

Featured Replies

I'm looking for a nice 3-4 star hotel or resort close to Mahidol University Salaya Campus in Thonburi. Any recommendations appreciated.

Salaya is in Nakhon Pathom, west of Thonburi. Stay at the Salaya Pavilion student training hotel located at the MUIC building of Mahidol. Convenient and inexpensive.

It is, but it is certainly no resort. To get an actual "resort" you are going to have to go a bit out of Salaya. Might try the Royal Golf, not too far away and I'm pretty sure has a swimming pool, plus nice grounds (and of course golf). The rooms are quite spacious.

Plenty of perfectly fine places to stay in Salaya itself if all you want is a clean comfortable room, though.

Odd place to holiday, curious are you interviewing for work there? If so, what school and subject? Feel free to pm thx.

Attending some TPO concerts there and tired of the trek from Bangkok central. Thought I might try a local hotel (coming up from Pattaya).

I wouldn't dismiss the option mentioned by Stradivarius - it's outstanding as it is a training resource for hotel and hospitality students at Mahidol; the food in particular is great though I've only used it when at conferences; delegates who stayed in the rooms rated them highly. 10 minute walk to the PMH venue .... however it only has a few rooms as it is not a fully functional hotel so it may fill up when events are on at PMH. Do you know where you can get the event schedule for this venue?

When I was supervising some oil exploration in the area a few years back, I stayed at Salaya Home Place on 4006. The contractor also had about 10 rooms for offices and managers lodging at Mu Place a little further up the street . These are standard student digs but defo hi-so students at Salaya Home Place judging by their cars. I looked at the rooms at the Salaya Pavilion and tired and dated came to mind. Never checked out Royal Golf as the commute was too far.

He said hotel or resort, not hotel and resort.
