My wife has a drop dead gorgeous, hard working, good family etc late 20s cousin. Her mum wants me to find her a farang husband. She's got Thai men asking for her. On one hand family thinks she's wasting away in the village and makes me want to help on the other hand she seems happy where she is. Not a fan of matchmaking as I don't want to be held responsible if things go pear shaped. Should I?

yes cheap Charlie is also happy here although I did all the leg work (and works associated with leg work). On people's advise I'll stay out of it. Is there a custom somewhere that I can use whereby the matchmaker must validate for himself that the wife to be meets the criteria required by the said farang custom. For example she's good at this or that?

Think of it this way. If she turns out to be a gold digger and a flake with other interests the poor guy you hooked her up with will likely blame you and thus become a pain in your butt. If he is not up to the family standards the family will likely blame you and talk crap behind your back and thus will become a problem. In the odd chance she and he get along and live happily ever after you will be the apple in their eye for about 1 month and then all is forgotten.

Just walk away from it man. Its a trap
