Actually, I have found that is a common view among Russians. I remember debating a Russian colleague about Milosevic and the genocide in Bosnia. He told me it was no one's business because Milosevic had the right to do whatever he wants in his own country. Another Russian friend excused Saddam for the same reason.

Actually, I have found that is a common view among Russians. I remember debating a Russian colleague about Milosevic and the genocide in Bosnia. It's a difficult thing. Step in and help the abused population. Or stand by and watch them get killed. By a dictator. Not a democratically elected official. Call me soft. I vote for helping the poor and innocent. At least do the best you can.
