Australian hospital refuses to discharge asylum seeker baby
By Tiffany Ap, for CNN and Zahra Ullah, CNN

(CNN)A hospital in Australia has refused to discharge a baby facing deportation due to concerns over poor living conditions in government offshore detention centers.

On Sunday, a crowd gathered outside the Brisbane, Queensland hospital to show their support for the child, whose family is seeking asylum.

The 12-month-old, known by the pseudonym of "Baby Asha" suffered serious burns at a detention camp on the island of Nauru, around 2,100 miles from Australia, according to advocacy group, GetUp, which is in touch with the family.

Send the kid back to Nauru with more free stuff. Everyones a winner. Remember even kids as young as 4 once sufficiently drunk on islam can be brutal killers. No sympathy here, none whatsoever. Their presence in Oz is as welcome as the zika virus in a maternity ward.

Hang on....a doctor or hospital is under oath not to discharge a patient unless there is a safe place to discharge it to. They have decided that there is not a safe place (and there is evidence of this) so they really have little choice.

Doctors in Australia generally have ethics

Ethics should include not allowing parents/ extended family of possible terrorists skipping screening to enter Australia. Many Australian kids live below the poverty line champ, but are better of with parents. Refugees are treated well enough. The media beat up conditions in Nauru. The police are protesting against the lies issued by so called do gooders.

Which is more than bridgetobridge and Jaidam have...

The problem is now draconian laws have been passed so doctors and nurses etc have to keep their mouths shut in the area of refugees or face up to two years in prison, I think it is. So I am sure they are using their rights as health care professionals, so good on them to protect the weak, fragile and innocent.

Incorrect yet again. Family are Nepalese Christian, I assume you're aware Christians suffer from persecution in Nepal.

Judging from the comment, pretty clear jaidam has suffered from a bit of zika virus himself.

It is not safe in the hospital either. Mrsa and other nasty infections. A lot of people die there.

But I would just deduct the cost of the baby hospital stay directly from there paychecks. tongue.png

that would be the Nepal that is right next to Darwin? Or is it a few miles from Sydney? Last time i looked, a trip from Nepal to Oz involves the lengthy travel through many safe countries, where the scared refugee would be grateful to settle down in. Not this lot though. Economic migrants looking for free stuff from the Oz taxpayers. Btw anyone foolish enough to swallow religious dogma deserves to be persecuted, science is not a new concept.

I see you're still promulgating your neo-Nazi agenda regards those whose ideology you disagree with.

Please name countries that provide federally legislated protection for refugees (safe countries) traveling between Nepal & Oz.

I would assume you have zero knowledge on whether the parents in this case have been assessed as economic refugees or not.. If you have bothered to research the matter 75% plus of asylum seekers on Nauru have been positively vetted.
