What exactly are pigs in blankets?

Despite the curious name, pigs in blankets are simply sausages wrapped in bacon. The bacon gives a delicious rich salty flavour which contrasts nicely with whichever kind of sausage you choose.

Our pigs in blankets use Sloane's US style streaky bacon wrapped around delicious chipolata sausages. They are so easy to cook, just put them in the oven at 190 degrees for 15-20 mins.

As you would expect the pork is excellent quality and comes from grass fed happy pigs!

your bacon wrapped sausages do look good, but title is misleading.

Something else that is a really good appetizer is bacon wrapped around a date. Devil on horseback.
