Big road with motorbike? How to know if ok or not?

Featured Replies

I'll go from Chonburi City to Don Muang Airport with a motorbike.

How to know which roads you can take, and which one are forbiden for motorbikes?

Thank you

Alex

Why would you do it anyway .? I found just riding from Pattaya to Lower Sukhumvit Bangkok ,by bike stressful and dangerous .

This sign should give you a general idea.post-170299-0-55936800-1455896373_thumb.

If you end up at a toll booth you will know you are not on the correct road and will be escorted off; whether fined or not is up to whomever is on duty at the time

Rule of thumb, if you are under an expressway you are OK

If you are the only one on the road you might have done wrong. Better go with the masses.

If there is a frontage road, your expected to be on it, if there is only one road (not a toll road, its ok, unless there is a sign showing which vehicles are prohibited.

yup, if youre new to thai roads then follow the advice above and another tip is to hang out on the start of a big road if youre unsure. if you see a thai go up it on a bike then chase him.....if hes wrong then he will know how to get off there pretty quick.
