Change of address in Yellow Book ?

Recommended Posts

I have the Yellow House Book after I bought the condo.

Assuming that in the near future I sell of my condo.

And then I buy a new condo. Now the question is this.

Have I to apply again for a new Yellow Book or I can add the new address in the current Yellow Book ?

Or I don't have to do anything ? Is my current Yellow Book still valid ?

Your kind advice is much appreciated.

Thanking you all in advance.

One Yellow Book per residence, change residence, get a new Yellow Book

Same for a Blue Book, but the Blue Book stays with the house / condo if you sell it. If a farang it will remain blank, if a Thai will have their name

Yellow Books are not the same, they just prove that you reside at a particular place and if you move from that place you must apply for a new Yellow Book

My next question.

My Yellow Book is under Ratchathewi district address.

Assuming I am buying another new condo also in Ratchathewi district,

do I have to get a new Yellow Book ?

Your kind advice is much appreciated.

Thanking you all in advance.

Sorry for the wrong question. My mistake.

My correct question should be this.

Since my Yellow Book was applied in Ratchathewi district office.

And assuming my new condo is also in the same Ratchathewi district.

Is it possible just to go to the same office to change my new address in

the previous book. Or just add in a new address ? That is the question.

Please kindly advise. Much appreciated.

Thanking you all in advance.

I'll try and explain it very clearly for you:

1. You can have your personal details entered into a maximum of one yellow book. It does not matter how many condos you own. You can only have your details in one book at any one time.

2. You can not change the address of a yellow book. A yellow book is issued to a property, not to the people listed in the book.

3. If you move residence, you should get yourself removed from the old yellow book and apply for a new yellow book at the new property.

4. If you own (as an example) 2 condos, you must make a choice: which condo do you want the yellow book issued for? You can only choose one location.

5. If you are still having difficulty with this, think about a driving license. If you own two properties in the same city do you get 2 driving licences? One license for each address? No, you have to choose which address you use. The same principle with the yellow book.
