The reason i am so down on this,is because my friends wife in the UK was raped by two guy's after attending a concert at Brixton art academy years ago.She never got over it,and totally destroyed her husband,who stood by her through the court case.The prosecution tried to lead the jury to believe that she led them on.They got 7 years at the Baily.The punishment,in my eyes aws not severe enough,but it was the maximum that the judge could give in those days.The point of this tale is that after a few years they divorced.She became mentally unstable and spent 3 years under Maudsley mental centre in Sth London.He vanished and i never heard from him again.She is still a recluse and never leaves her house.She gets panic attacks and has to have her shopping done for her by friends and relatives.She is still taking anti depressants and sleeps with the light on.It has totally ruined her life.When i went back UK side,i went to visit her.I had to ring her bell for 10 minutes before she would let me in,and even then sat across the room from me.From what was a vibrant,lively young woman,is now a nervous shell.

I had such a great weekend in Thailand, completely shut off internet and comeback to these news... So sad.. it is a scar for life. A friend who is living on Koh Kud said it is a mother and a daughter. wish I could do something to help to recover for all 4 of the french tourists.

At last someone with some decency. It must have been extremely traumatic. It's not like we plan for such things happening.

I hope somehow they learn to at least partially forget and make good recovery.

Yeah! Rambo, they did fight until one was badly injured so the other one run for help to the nearby resort, the most sensible thing to do in this situation.

From Chiangrai Times:

Pol Lt Col Suraporn Thepsane, deputy chief of Koh Kut police station, said the Cambodian boat crew tried to kidnap the two women, aged 57 and 28, and assaulted their male companions, aged 30 and 29, attacking them when they tried to help.

The suspects allegedly raped the women after the first man was injured and the second ran for help at the resort.

The attackers fled after a group of resort staff and residents accompanied by the French man came to help. The three victims were found in critical condition and were initially treated at KohKut hospital before transferred to Trat hospital.

What a dumb post, who said the five had been working all day, working on a trawler they would all be very fit, one of the farangs was a fifty plus year old female not a bloody brawny pt instructor, the five were armed with knives and used them.

If you look at the picture from the longer story you can see it already. One of the suspects has been beaten in the face and one of them appears not to understand anything that is going on at all. I knew a thai policeman who often laughed hysterically after getting a few whiskeys in him about how the police solved their crimes! He insisted his second home in Chang Mai and has lavish foreign travel were owed to him for how well he solves crimes. I have stayed my distance from that jackass for many years. His methods involved beatings and finding people that had no chance of defending themselves legally. He then collected money out of great gratitude from the victims families for his fine police work. Enough said!
