Nok Air call center lies

I was doing my yearly visit to Savannakhet to get my non o multi based on marraige.

Booked the Nokair tickets a while back and was only aware of the problem from my wife later.

Decided to stick with them and see what happened.

Got a fly drive flight for Sun 29th DMK to Nakhon Phanom and then bus to Mukdahan. I was travelling to Savannakhet in the morning to do the visa. Not one problem....called the call center before to confirm all was well.

Went over the border and sorted the visa. Next day back to Mukdahan. Another night in Muk to be picked up 1230 from the Ploy Palace to get our minibus to Sakhon Nakhon and onward to DMK. Sitting in the foyer the lady at the travel desk came to us. Sorry no minibus to Sakhon Nakhon today. Flight cancelled. Can you go to Ubon instead arriving DMK 9pm instead of 1630pm.

Checked emails...nothing from Nok and no missed calls. Called the call center...waited waited and eventually got a lady saying that the Sakhon Nakhon flight had been cancelled. OK next stop Ubon and a long wait in Mukdahan.

Checked flight radar and DMK website to see the flight had departed and I even tracked its path.

Nokair told me a complete lie over the phone. Ended up on Thai Smile and 5hrs late to DMK.

If they had come clean from the start I would be unconcerned but lying over the phone is bad news. Im sure there are more problems ahead for Nokair...I wont be back.

Why anyone would believe excuses provided by airlines is beyond me.

If you are going to quit flying with every airline that lies to you, you'll run out of airlines.

When you miss a flight, does it really matter why?

Im a regular fyler...approx 9-10 a month due to work commitments and recreation...Never been lied to by an airline until now. And ti answer to the question of course it matters why...due to using these airlines in future.

On Radar24.com your flight DD9406 ,( 15h10-16h35 ) last tracking was on 29 FEB.

Since that day no more tracking. Normally Nok Air DH-400 have the ADS-B tracking on their planes.

None on 02MARCH. Maybe it was really cancelled.

How do you know you've never been lied to?

No problems apart from Nok so no lies required!

You fly 9-10 times a month and have never had a flight delays or canceled, interesting.

Minor issues yes....delays for instance. Nothing worth complaining about. Majority of flights are with Emirates recently who tend to be quite efficient.
