Is covid a hoax
Poppycock - has nothing to do with pm25, Thais are still terrified of covid. If people want to believe it is to do with PM25 fine, doesn't make it true though. -

How did your dad influence your life
I grew up in an abusive household. Not physical, but verbal/psychological. My father was an angry angry man. Constantly taking out his anger on us. Not only do you have to tolerate the abuse, but there is no positive reinforcement. So I was psychologically messed up for a long time. Maybe I still am. Also, he was nasty to my mom. So I learned women need to be treated well AND not to be an ahole like my father. -

Introduction to Personal Income Tax in Thailand
A change to the Tax Laws is being processed that basically changes everything back to the way they were before the badly thought out (idiotic) change that was made on January 1 2024. Foreign Earnings Taxed Under New Thai Rules - But With Exceptions - Page 2 - Thailand News - Thailand News, Travel & Forum - ASEAN NOW https://aseannow.com/topic/1361086-foreign-earnings-taxed-under-new-thai-rules-but-with-exceptions/ "The initiative aims to expedite the repatriation of foreign income, thereby potentially boosting domestic investment. The department acknowledges that the current taxation structure has somewhat deterred Thais from bringing foreign-earned capital back home." No sheite Einstein !! IMO this means all Expat's Pensions are not taxable if remitted in the same year or the next year. It also means that any 'income' earned (like interest etc) is not taxable if remitted in the same year or the next year. IMO this means that 99% of retired/married Expats who bring money into Thailand are AOK. Happy Days. When TRD implements the global taxation system, that all might change - so best to stay across things going forward. I feel sorry for all those that were 'conned' into paying to get a TIN and do a Tax Return by those with agendas or with 'issues'. No names No pack drill. -

Report Thailand Sees a Surge in COVID-19 Cases: Concerns for Public Health
I always had the freedom to choose, so no deflection at all. Look at it this way. In UK covid is largely seen as recent history, mainly because when vaccination became available, there was an enormous take-up and restrictions were lifted quite quickly. In Thailand where I believe fewer people were vaccinated for whatever reasons, covid is on the rise again and the unvaccinated will likely suffer. Here in UK I see very few people wearing masks; people have resumed all types of social interaction. OK Thais wore masks before covid possibly because of the earlier SARS issues, and sometimes because of poor air quality. Discipline can be self-enforced as well as mandated - no one forced me to be vaccinated - I chose to be and do not regret any one of them. Had I not, I might have been prevented from accessing some areas for a short time - that's also now history. With any vaccine, some people unfortunately suffer side effects - look at the percentage of those compared with the majority who've benefitted - it's sad but that's how life is sometimes. This is not a drug scandal like Thalidomide was, it's an unfortunate few for whom the vaccine didn't work. As I say, sad but part of life. -
