bertbobjes
Hi, what do i do if my WP expires but i still have a visa extension. Do i immidiatly have to leave the country? or can i stay untill the end of the visa extension? Can i stay when i own a company?
sunnyjim5
If you have an extension of stay by definition you do not have a valid visa If the extension is based on your working it becomes invalid on the day you stop working. (ie. the day the WP expires ? ) Owning a company gives you no right to stay without a valid visa or extension of stay.
tonray
Your extension is based upon your permission to work date. the work permits ends so does your extension. If you start your own company (not cheap or easy) then you can stay....but not cheap or easy as you will also have to employ at least 4 Thai citizens and maintain 2 million baht in capital and show a profit and pay taxes and SS for all employees. Sorry but starting/having a company provides absolutely no 'right' to remain. Only a legal, Valid Visa or an "extension of stay" gives the necessary permission to remain in the Kingdom
elviajero
Yes you have to leave or apply for a new extension of stay.

You guys need to get out more.
