Something light and un-serious.

What is the Thai name for the "Games of thrones" series of books and tv ? (Also, in Thai writing, please.)

มหาศึกชิงบัลลังก์

Maha seuk ching ban-lang

Literally sth like the great battle/war of the throne(s)

Had to look it up :) , usually with some well-known international thing, I look on Wikipedia and then see if there's a Thai version of the page. There often is...

Thanks. I can do basic stuff search stuff, but sometimes I get stuck.

I have very recently changed my mind. Maybe it is not polite and nice to write in Thai only, because 90 % of the people who read these pages have 0 understanding of Thai writing.

This is the one and only forum on TV where it is permitted to type in Thai...the Thai Language Forum. I would estimate that 40% or more of the posters who post to this particular forum DO read and write Thai, at least to some degree.

If seeing the written language of the country which the entire of Thai Visa focuses on upsets or offends you, perhaps you should stick to reading other forums on this site. facepalm.gif

I can read and write Thai. I sometimes amused myself by writing sarcastic posts about people using "karaoke writing". Like เธอ" becoming "tur".

("Tur" is actually a word in my native language that means "luck". The correct pronunciation of this Swedish word is as far from เธอ as is humanly possible.)

Maybe, I should be more humble. Even people illiterate in Thai should be able to be interested in Thai language pages.

Anyway, what I wrote was just a silly joke (having seen that someone already answered your initial question effectively): a typical Thai mispronunciation of the English words "Game of Thrones" written in Thai. smile.png
