Today's high speed cars like this Mercedes with a 585 HP engine are fitted with low profile tire when these tires go flat the car only sinks down about a couple of inches which does effect the steering but not as much as with the high profile tires consequently the steering is not too much effected and with the electronic controlled steering you do not loose control of the car. Looking at the dashcam the idiot must have been travelling at 200KPH.

Years ago there was an attempt made in the US to limit the engine size to a 289 cubic size engine in passenger cars but that never lasted too long. Take the top of the line Ford SUV in the US it has the same engine fitted in a Ford 22-wheeler pulling 40-ton in a passenger vehicle, where is the common sense???? THERE IS NONE.

I would suggest 200kph minimum coupled with extremely low intelligence and either full of booze or drugs. Whatever it is makes no difference - he should spend a few years in the slammer - might do something for his attitude to driving.

Having owned a high performance car (M3) and done fair number of track days I've noticed the boy racers here haven't the first clue how to handle a car compared to the one's in uk; wrong lines,no appreciation of apexes,unnecessary braking for curves,inability to judge distances or gaps ,all of which simply magnifies the downside of recklessness. This guy is no different and can only go fast in a straight line. I am beginning to think ,in conjunction with other observations ,this is part of a genetic IQ deficiency. Look at the pictures on the CSI-Site and on the culprits facebook-page. I wouldn't trust someone who is swagging with a 585hp-car and a picture of his speedometer showing 307kph. In a country where the official speed-limit is 120kph by the way.

The National speed limit is 90 kph. Certain roads are posted for higher speeds typically 120 kph.

The higher speed rated roads are generally Expressways so have no motorcycle traffic, multiple lanes, limited on/off ramps and, usually, barriers.

The National limit is almost universally ignored. I like to cruise at 100 kph, straight up on my clock. I'm retired so don't need to drive fast and get stressed.

One of the disparities I find with Thailand is in cases like this.

In cases like this, why doesnt the family take the compensation money, then at later date, get a "brother" from the extended family to put on a balaclava and shoot the dbag.

Agree and I add another point - Thais never (from parents or observation of through formal education) learn to anticipate anything. Many drive like maniacs with zero thought / anticipation of what could happen ahead.

Obvious example, a couple of years back, the Thai lady who could see that all lanes ahead were blocked with numerous cars so she just changed lanes and went full speed ahead into the left lane and smashed at speed into a parked car.

The picture was taken just after the accident manslaughter took place. I saw the aftermath as I was driving into Bangkok on Sunday. The entire highway leading out of Bangkok was closed off because of it. The Mercedes was a few hundred metres up the road from the burnt out remains of the other car, indicating just how fast it must of been going. It was quite a sobering sight. It's all too easy to be a "big man" on an anonymous forum, but if they had have been my family members in the other car, I think I'd be paying a visit to the hospital this maggot is lying in. And not to bring him flowers.

It is not necessarily low intelligence, it just that even with innate high intelligence the laws of nature remain immutable, garbage in:garbage out. Take an intelligent person and educate them in Thailand and you get young heirs who live with their heads up the wrong orifice. But this condition is certainly not limited to Thailand as can be seen in the graduates of the Harvard Business School.
