Protesters block main road to Trump rally in Arizona

Blocking roads to a rally differs little from standing in front of a polling station in Black Panther garb smacking a baton into your open hand in a threatening manner. In nearly all similar cases the law is broken. Its violence by graduation. They push the envelope beyond the legal or socially acceptable threshold then cry foul. They are permitted to push beyond the legal threshold because they cry foul, claim "protest" and have an Obama administration that has made it clear it will not intervene on behalf of the law.

For all the name calling back and forth one point increasingly emerges, or crystallizes, during this 2016 election year- the right does not behave like the left in the US. A perfect microcosm is right here on the TV forums between those on the left and the right.

1. The right opposes, condemns, bad-mouths, and rhetorically crucifies leftist leaders and their progressive polices (I certainly do).

2. The left opposes, condemns, bad-mouths, and rhetorically crucifies those in #1, above.

This entirely defines the actions of the Trump protesters. Under the cover of protesting Trump they injure other people. Whereas posters like me have nothing good to say about HRC and Obama and their policies, opponents of Trump have nothing good to say about... supporters of Trump.

The modern left is not your father's blue collar clock out at the mill and grab a beer Democratic Party. It has morphed into an agency of violence and thuggery under the banner of victim. It has shifted dramatically left... dramatically! (In fact, drama is their MO).

Therefore, with Bernie a nobody and Hillary dishonorable, the only one left standing is Trump...and I seriously doubt he will get through the convention. The RINOs that are the so called establishment want him out at any cost. They are willing to sacrifice a four or eight year loss of the White House to insure they have an establishment candidate and not somebody that will upset their very lucrative apple cart.

There are people who are always saying that there is no difference between the Republican and Democrat parties. Well, it certainly seems that is the case when you see the Republican establishment teaming up with the Democrat establishment to defeat their own likely nominee.

I'm going to have to disagree with you here. The Democrats have always been violent. There's 150 years of evidence to that fact. I'm not blind to that.

I support Sanders. I am not unaware that a small contingent of those who also support Sanders are deadbeats, anti-democratic, anarchists and ultra violent. I support many of his policies despite my knowing that about some of the other people who may support him. Just like the Republicans, if they're honest, should admit that a small amount of their supporters are racial extremists. That doesn't make them racial extremists nor do they have to defend racial extremism.

Clinton, the corrupt, warmongering, incompetent right center candidate meanwhile gets a pass. Just like her sponsors have planned.

Very insightful post. You are right about a small number of deadbeat, nutcases on the left and a small number of loony racists on the right. What makes a difference, is how much these weirdos affect the rest of the party. It is my opinion that the few racists influence the Republican party VERY little, if at all. The left-wing embraces radical groups like Occupy Wall Street and Black Lives Matter. They have a number of violent criminals operating inside them. To me this signifies that the party oddballs call the shots more than on the right.

I like your take on Hillary Clinton too.

Well, you liberals can't say I didn't warn you.

I'm also not trying to convert any of you to a life of sanity.

All of you Trump, and by association chuckd, haters are not going to believe any link I put up so why should I really care what any of you think. Just for the record, I really don't care what you think of me.

I'm not even a Trump supporter, but I am a Hillary opponent and Bernie doesn't even exist in the real world. Bernie will never be nominated by the Democratic Party. He is an avowed Socialist that has claimed no party affiliation his entire political life. He is putting on a chameleon like appearance because that is all he has. If any of you are Bernie fans, then you are dumber than the most ardent Trump fan. Wake up and smell the roses.

The Democrats are left with Grandma Clinton and her horde of mischievous aides and she is currently under investigation by five, count 'em, five government agencies. Now I don't know if she will be indicted because I don't know what she might be holding over Obama's head, but I am 100% certain, in my mind, that she has broken numerous federal regulations in her handling of classified information and could very likely have used her position as SecState to grant political favors to international donors to the Clinton Foundation coffers.

She is a corrupt public official, a pathological liar and a beltway insider of the worst kind. If that is what some of you wish to support, then go for it. If she is not indicted, she will be the Democratic candidate. Knowing the Democrats as I do, even if she is indicted they will probably try and get her elected. If not her, then my guess is a draft Biden movement will spring up, the Kool Aid will be passed around and the faithful will name him as their nominee.

My belief is the establishment will find some way to disenfranchise Trump and will go to a floor fight, where somebody like Romney will be nominated.

Now wouldn't it be really ironic that if, after all the thousands of words spewed out on this forum alone, none of the current protagonists were to even be nominated by their respective parties to run for the Presidency?

Attack away. but be sure you read my signature as well.

Wow, Chucky! Just wow. Try and get some rest. Drink lots of fluids. This heat is tough for everyone thumbsup.gif

This is what I like most about your deeply researched posts. They are so full of links and vital arguments about the candidates and the parties.

How could I get through my day without checking in to find out what you think?

So, you really don't think that Hillary is corrupt, or is it that you don't care as long as she's a Democrat?

So you don't care if protesters illegally block a main public highway to deny citizens their rights to freedom of movement as long as they are democrats?

Cheers.

I agree. There are a very few members that I find worth paying attention to on the political forums. There are a few very knowledgeable posters on the left, a few in the middle and a few on the right. Most posters just spout ill-informed partisan spin.

IMO, chuckd is the most alert and fully informed of all of them. He also expresses himself well. I concur with his writings most of the time.

"Protesters criminals block main road to Trump rally in Arizona."

Yes, but the locals knew how to get around roadblocks and Trump had a big rally with about 20,000 people there. It went just fine.

Then in the afternoon he had another in Tucson, Arizona with another good crowd. No real problems.

Cheers.

Oh there is a real problem. This pic is the Republicans biggest problem. When pathetic racist Sheriff Joe Arpaio endorses and is brought onstage to speak to your minions, there is a problem.

Trump is a racist xenophobic air-head buffoon. People should be protesting his every move. Trump is a stain on America.

My! My! so you think that trump and the good sheriff are racist? could it be that you at one time or another was issued the "pink " underwearthat the kindly sheriff issued to all his "guests?" the term racist has been used and abused so much that it no longer means anything! just another left wing democratic word that is slug around hoping that it will stick! might as well call me a racist for all that it now means!

Seems clear to me that the person who has the most to gain from these protests is Trump himself. "Why not," says some clever bell-end in his campaign staff, "block the roads with some paid volunteers we can rustle up. Get all the people angry....tell the media these awful people are out to stifle free speech...worth a few more votes...let's give it a try."

Don't let this right-whinger propaganda take hold my friend. What it's doing is showing the country how divisive Trump is. Everyone is dead dog tired of bipartisanship.

On the Gone Old Party side, chaos headed by the Pompadour Pompous Dufus himself, snide snickering and childish name calling during the debates. On the otherside Hilary, as cool as the underside of a pillow, she and Bernie actually debated policies and the direction of the nation.

No these protests are making the GOP look bad, real bad, and don't forget the aftertaste of the GW Bush disaster of a presidency is still in people's mouths.

attachicon.gifSuper Tuesday cartoon.jpg

So he's a bad guy because he mocks and calls people names ...

So you and all those who hate him .. mock him and call him names...

But that's ok cause it's only bad if others do it... Perfectly ok for you and those you agree with to do it

Good call.

" Pompadour Pompous Dufus himself, snide snickering and childish name calling"

Now that's an adult response if I have ever seen one. whistling.gif

Might matter were I running for President but guess what guys, I'M NOT .

Although I am probably as qualified as the Orange dude.

I do think the subtext of Trumpism is nativist with natives being defined as white Christians. That's his base. This group fears increasing diversity and the inevitable trend of the minorities in sum being the majority.

"Racist" applies perfectly to these two. If you don't think these two are low-life racist, then you are a racist. Is that what you wanted to hear?

These protesters are not very American in my eyes.Gives good arquement to what Trump says, things like a wall etc. In the land of the free violence to get your way seems to really be on the increase. I quess it is the right to be civil disobeient,I am sure they can find a civil rights lawyer would say that. I know I will be bashed for this but are these white guys that are doing these criminal acts or others?.Just curious.

All very true.

They should be sucker punching the opposing side, just like a dutiful Trump supporter will do.

This is a phenomenal year for American Politics.

People are probably learning, more and more, about How Nominations are swayed and made (by both parties)....because of Trump. Public interest has increased, solely because of Trump's involvement. Trumpeteers are standing fast, if not increasing in numbers.

Hillary Represents everything many hate about our government. Lies (Libya), Irresponsibilities (classified info leaked on her emails), sucking up to cronies in the party (making deals on the beltway)...and basically, just being bitchy. Her future is probably congressional investigations, FBI allegations and dodging jail. Don't see her getting the nomination at all.

Sanders...just something to chuckle at.

Trump has put the Republican Party into disarray...which I think is great. He is shaking up Americans...also good. We had presidents like Gerald Ford, who was clumsier than a doorknob.... and Regan (no mental giant either...but a hell of a good man).....and O'bama....(a mistake...twice). I have no problem with Trump being the President. Even if he does not make it (by fault of the Republican Party).... he sure kicked up some dust.

Abe Lincoln....self education nerd....did just fine and served in the hardest possible circumstances. If he became a legend....well...why not Honest Don?

@Post #75

Abraham Lincoln and the Con-Don in the same sentence? Holy <deleted>!

facepalm.gif

And the added use of "legend"? blink.png

'murica is DOOMED.

Well, no, on second thought, it's just the ignorant, uninformed fools who think this Carnival Barker Trump, will lead them to the Promised Land.

They, are DOOMED.
