PATTAYA:-- Police in Pattaya have arrested a woman wanted for allegedly scamming her former British husband out of 1,500,000 Baht, reports Thaivisa News.

Pol.Capt.Withoon Luengamornsak told reporters that his officers were acting on a warrant issued by the court on Koh Samui.

It is alleged that Mrs Prapai Kongsuwan, 39, had received the money from her ex husband, Mr Christopher Johnbrid, in order to open the Love Bar located on Lamai Beach.

However, Mr Christopher claims his ex wife never opened the bar and instead ran off with the money, which is when he decided to launch a criminal case against the woman.

Mrs Prapai Kongsuwan reportedly told officers that she had been in a relationship with the man for more than ten years and that she did not try to trick him or take his money.

She claimed the bar had gone bankrupt and that she was forced to move to Pattaya to work as a maid.

Officers found Mrs Prapai hiding in a condo in South Pattaya.

Seriously? I would say that 1.5m is a lot of cash to the vast majority of people.

12.5k per month? Your maths assumes he didn't spend a baht on her over those 10 years. I think we can safely assume he did.

Assuming the accuser is right, there is no excuse for stealing money like that.

anyone who finds this woman attractive must be out of his mind....

Love spells can work wonders, as well as a few bottles of wine...

Hard to believe......grin...

If you want to make a million, bring 3 million. Hold on to the last million if you can.

10 years ago might have been a looker, and probably ran off with the money, because it went from maybe 20,000 a month ten years ago, to what ever 1,2,5 baht coins he wanted to get rid of ten years later

The money is long gone, merely a foot note in the book of lessons learned by Farang men

in Thailand, time to move on. coffee1.gif
