GF and I stayed at the HOP INN in Udon last January. Fine. No problem. Functional, no frills, but clean, modern, comfortable, everything works, friendly, quiet, and very inexpensive for the good night's sleep it offers. Out of the way from city center but designed for travelers with cars. Convenient for getting in and out of town or to or from the airport. If the Udon HOP INN is typical of the chain, we'd definitely stay in one again.

I checked out the Hop Inn in Lampang in mid-December and seemed pretty good but when I went to make a reservation they were fully booked. I think they would be a good choice for the price.

I stayed at the Mukdahan Hop Inn last year. As this Inn is pretty new, clean, inexpensive, morning instant coffee free;

note: in addition to your room fee, they will ask for a refundable deposit, I think ours was 300 baht.

Just stayed in the Sakaeo Hop Inn at b650 night for a functional, clean, modern, safe room which was excellent value. Would definitely use Hop Inns again, especially if on business travel upcountry.

While I have never stayed in one, I first noticed Hop Inn about a year ago. And their website dates from 2014. I am unaware of any similar chains.

Yes, I have been in the one quite a few times, and yes it is good, apart from

the small mini fridges that don't get as cold as they should.
