Hi Guys,

Been trying to get in touch with somebody/anybody in any of the BMW Bangkok dealers as I would like to get pricing on an F30 BMW 328i M Performance exhaust and also get the car in for service.

Other than a host of spool responses, no one is responding to e-mail, and no call back after the promise to do so.

I am pulling my hair out over this as I have a 10% off parts voucher which is about to expire and I just don't get why it is so difficult to purchase something?

I have so far been quoted THB 100,000, THB 60,000 and "No BMW does not have this"... and then, from the same person who called back "The mechanic does not recommend this, it is bad for the car, only good for Diesels".

I should say that it is original BMW M Performance part that I'm requesting here!

Anyway, rant over. Would be great if anyone here have a good contact for BMW dealer in Bangkok who speaks English if you don't mind passing to me.

Thanks a lot!

Call in to German Motors Bangna. They always have lots of M Sport items on display in the Service Dept waiting area which is adjoining the Parts Dept.

Requesting info by email or telephone is often unsuccessful in TH.

As the 328i isn't sold any more in TH, you may find they have old stock M Sport exhaust parts at a substantial discount.

Make your mind up, did someone get back to you with an answer or not?

You do know that there is a big difference between speaking English and being able to a written email reply in English? That would explain why you're not getting an email response. You'd be taken more seriously if you actually went to a BMW dealer in person and asked them instead of maybe being perceived as an internet tyre kicker. I'd be very surprised if there was not an English speaker in every Bangkok BMW dealer.

I've made plenty of enquirers this way with "premium brands", never been a problem for me. In a lot of cases they bring the car to where I am to test drive as it's more convenient for me. Ford have even done this for me for the Everest. Guess it's up to the dealer, but if they are willing to do this type of stuff for me, I'm more willing to be their customer.

What's any of that got to do with my post?

Sorry, forgot to highlight that I did all this without going into the branch.

I also contact my after sale through email, but they do know me already. They provide thorough quotations with prices and example pictures for M Performance parts etc.

And I contacted them without having gone in and met them before. I made a spec enquiry on the phone, they offered to bring the car to my office so I could test drive it during my lunch break and that was it.
