I am on an extension of stay based on retirement..

My immigration office is Khon Kaen.

I have been in this district for 5 years.

I intend to change my address within the same town.

I rent the property I am in now and will move to another rented property.

# 1 - What documents will I require to show immigration ? Example is copy of rental agreement and copy of property owners house book sufficient ?

# 2 - Should I report change of address within 24 hours ( to whom and where ? ) or when I do 90 top-up next month ?

# 3 - I have a daughter ( in her 30's ) in UK intending to visit in December for a few weeks. If she would like to stay longer could she get an extended stay based on my "extension of stay based on retirement" visa ? I had worked here before ( legally ) for 10 years and during that time my daughter got extension of stay based on my work permit.

Thanks for any help.

Concerning the Address part. If it were me I would just process it as a Residence Registration Certification same as getting one for the purposes of buying a car or motorcycle. This will set you straight away as being registered at your new address. You will have a nice document in receipt and a slip of document saying the same stapled into your Passport. Then you are good to go for a full blown renewal of your Extension of Stay when that comes up. You just need to show the original Rental Agreement of where you are now staying (new address) along with your passport.

Thanks for the info very clear and precise.

Shame about the age limit on dependents. Both my daughters lived here for a while many years ago. The eldest studied an area of Thailand for her UK University thesis.

If your daughter wishes to stay for longer than the 90 days a single entry tourist visa will provide she could consider applying for a multiple entry tourist visa (valid for 6 months). Or she could obtain another single entry tourist visa from a Thai Embassy/Consulate in a nearby country.

Thks johnatong. Be interesting to see what happens regarding visas if UK leaves EU.

A Brexit is unlikely to make any difference as regards Thailand visa requirements for British nationals, I would have thought.

It will make no difference why should it ?

The sooner the UK opts out of that bureaucratic, undemocratic mess called the EU the better smile.png
