BANGKOK:-- A man was stabbed to death by his own sister in a violent argument over the man's wife that took place outside an apartment in Huay Kwang downtown Bangkok Tuesday, reports Thaivisa News

The younger sister has admitted to the killing saying she was cornered, grabbing a kitchen knife and stabbing her brother multiple times. The brother and sister had had frequent arguments over the brother's wife, police said.

Suthisan police were called to the three storey 20th Mithuna apartment in soi 20th Mithuna, Huay Kwang after reports of a violent argument and a stabbing. They found the Chuan Thongmeuangluang lying in a pool of blood out front of the building. The 47 year old motorcycle taxi driver could not be saved and died on the spot.

Forty year old Suwanna Thongmeuangluang was found crying in her room in the building. An 8 inch kitchen knife, just washed was found nearby. She is the younger sister of the deceased.

Police interviewed the sister-in-law Ladda Timloi, 36, as she clutched her eight month old daughter in her arms. She said that earlier in the evening she had been drinking with her husband and told him of a disagreement between her and Sawanna earlier that day. Chuan flew into a rage and went to another room in the building where the sister lived.

He came back and Ladda said they should go elsewhere so he could calm down. They drive out of the soi heading for Nonthaburi but Chuan said that he had forgotten his wallet and they went back. While his wife went up to get the wallet she said she heard a terrinle argument taking place.

Suwanna said that she had had frequent arguments with her brother. She said that he had hit her earlier in the evening and had later gone out. But he came back, hit her outside her room then followed her back in and continued the assault, she said.

Finally she said that she picked up a kitchen knife lying near her TV and stabbed her brother multiple times.

Police are expected to charge the sister with unlawful killing as they gather more evidence in the case.

If she had shot him there'd be 5 pages about how bad guns are by now.

RIP to the guy.

Trying to use this to score points for gun ownership? Really?

Have a word with yourself.

We really should get all these knives off the street.

A case is easily for the more dangerous types of knives being sold in open in places like Thailand yes. But knives actually have other purposes than killing people, while guns only suit one purpose, to kill.

Unless you cut your steak by firing at it with a machine gun rolleyes.gif

"Police are expected to charge the sister with unlawful killing as they gather more evidence in the case."

Besides the rest of the article is really hard to follow...is there are "lawful killing"?

truly sm wierdos on here, making jokes about a murder and all the heartache that goes with that for all involved, only on tvf , instead of only in thailand, sick people.

Some guy was apparently killed by his sister.

What do you want us to do? Commit Hari Kari every time we hear about a death?

I agree. There are too many cases lately of innocent bystanders being hit by flying knives, people pointing knives at each other in traffic, and drive-by knifing of businesses in Yala.

Nothing to suggest the sister did not act in self defense!!........let's not speculate/interpret

You must be new here. You should know by now that that's what members do here. They speculate and interpret, usually between beers.

Can it get more bizarre? Oh, yes....he flew into a rage, so that's why a murder took place.

Lots of murders are preceded by rage. Nothing unusual about that.

I don't know what actually happened in this case, but if someone in a rage started beating on me and I feared severe bodily harm or for my life, and I couldn't escape, I'd try to incapacitate or even kill them.

Actually there is: When your life is in mortal danger and you really have no other option left than killing your attacker it could be ruled as self-defence: Lawful killing, AKA Justifiable Homicide...

There are many cases whom are ruled as 'lawful killing'.. In this case she could actually be charged with unlawful killing IF she has had other options than killing the brother, (locking herself in the bathroom, running away, etcetera).

A soldier who kills an enemy soldier is also lawfully killing!

Glad to see Thai women getting back a bit of their own - gender equality in murders is long overdue!

Besides a failed attempt at glib humor, are you actually suggesting there are more Thai men killed by Thai women that vice versa.

Except knives have much more day-to-day practical uses than say a glock.

LOL...yes i'm new!...........It really shows a lack of intelligence and/or keyboard fever that prompts such immediate responses.

Not as much Fun on this forum as well....other forums allow some argi-bargi which can attract you for the entertainment value.
