Pharmacies by Victory Monument?

Recommended Posts

I've read about some good pharmacies close to Victory Monument for cheaper and more obscure drugs but I can't figure out where they are.

When I get off the BTS at Victory Monument which exit do I use and where do I go? Thanks for your help!

Any exit...there are literally pharmacies every 100 yards. Just look for the Green Lettering Sign..... I would estimate that if one walked around the monument you could find at least 3 on every soi or side alley.

Thanks. I'm not asking about the shophouse pharmacies and I don't want to walk around the monument.

Believe you will have to walk North to west side of Victory Monument and on North side of Ratchawithi Road there are some at ped overpass and to the West. BTS stop is next to Rajavithi Hospital and no shops in that area.

Thanks lopburi3. Looks like Sheryl pointed someone to the same area on another thread a few years ago.

lopburi3 is correct. I'll try to give more details:

From the lobby level of the VM BTS station take the exit toward the monument, away from Century Plaza (sorry, don't know the number). Keep walking till the walkway bifurcates. Go left, down the stairs, keep walking in the same direction (you're circling the monument) and climb the pedestrian overpass to cross the street. All this took about 10min. from the station.

On the other side, for about 200m. are several pharmacies stocking pretty much everything at wholesale prices. E.g., a skin cream I use is 800+b. at Watsons, 600 in that area.

Good luck and stock up.

Easily found the pharmacies you were all referring to and was able to purchase the meds I need at a few baht cheaper than Fascino at Sirirat and much more convenient. Pictures from TallGuyJohninBKK really helped! Thanks again.

For the things my wife and I have shopped for over time, Mongkut pharmacy as listed above seemed to have the better prices than the others for the things we were looking for. But of course, that may vary from item to item.

Another advantage they have is that the store is really two in one -- a full pharmacy operation along with a pretty broad medical devices and hardware store.
