How easy would it be to get a bus during Songkran?

I am planning to get a bus from Mochit bus station to Nakhon Sawan on the second day of Songkran, That will be Wed 13th or Thu 14th.

Will I have a lot of difficulty, or should I just forget it?

The only problem I heard, was when a Thai friend, told her farang husband there was no buses running from KamphangePhet to Mochit during Songkran a couple years ago..

It was an obvious lie!!

I notice less travelers at the bus station during Songkran. Also had relatives travel thru Nakhon Sawan to Mochit - and back, never had a problem getting on the bus..

Also, heard Songkran was for only 2 days this year..

If at all possible, go to Morchit ASAP and buy your ticket in advance.

Good idea, but I don't arrive in Bangkok until Sun 10th, maybe that will be too late.

You remind me of my Ex, always looked on the "Negative" side of life. why not say..."Am arriving in Bangkok on the 10th so I should have a great chance of booking a seat in advance". Nothing personal, just the reactions of a very positive person. I firmly believe that we create our own future by what we focus on, by the thoughts we put out there..

I remember when I bought my first condo in Pattaya, I couldn't wait to share the news with a close friend at the time, thinking he would be very happy for me and full of support. When I told him....he said....Wow, do you not think buying a condo in Pattaya is very risky at this time, there's a shortage of water now in Thailand (this was about 13 years ago) and it's lightly the price of property in Pattaya could crash as a result.

Need I tell you....he's no longer a friend of mine.....I can easily do without people like that in my life.

Agreed. After I had travelled in Thailand for 6 months and returned to England, my mission was to move out here and teach. My brother never had anything positive to say a out it. He said "what about your pension when you're old?"

Yeah he was right. I would spend the next 40 years stuck in the same job in a grim English town always daydreaming of what would have happened if I had moved to Thailand. But hey, at least i will have my pension to look forward to in 40 years. Assuming I'm still alive. Such a negative way of thinking.

That was 5 years ago. I'm moving back to England shortly. My brothers first response to the news? "I hope you're are OK financially to move back. Will be great to see you"

Jesus wept

This is the official position towards the crazy water-fights on Khao San rd. and maybe other places.

Has no effect on Songkran travel.

There are still 3 official holidays, a 5 day long weekend and for those who take another two holidays it's a 9 day holiday period.

And the first wave of traffic madness starts today.
