Any Saxophonists in CM?

Featured Replies

The most famous one in Thailand lives here - when he is not on the road.... Koh Saxman. I heard he played an exclusive, private concert in Sansai last week.

It's funny you should ask, just the other day I read an article that phone sax is a big problem among in CM especially among uni students!

There are too many... go to North Gate jazz club on Tuesday night and you will find many all honking away on some hard bop classics.

Yes, the Thai owner of the North Gate Jazz Co-op (at North Gate) is a brilliant sax player. Knows his jazz and honks hard. Go on a Tuesday jam night and there will be 3-6 sax players, men and women. It has gotten too popular so go early. I think he teaches too but not sure. If he doesn't he will know who does. He is very nice.

My favourite Sax piece is 'Harlem Nocturne' but i have been to a few jazz clubs here and cant find anyone who can play it,or has even heard of it.it was the theme music to 'Mike Hammer' Stacey Keach, years ago.Gone but not forgotten.
