Canadian and Filipina getting married in Thailand

Featured Replies

Hello Folks

I have been having problems finding this information. I know all the steps for my fiance and I to get married in Thailand BUT there is one area which we have both found inconsistent.

I have heard from some that Filipinos need to wait 10 days before they can proceed with getting married in Thailand. In the Philippines, you need to wait 10 business days before you can get your marriage license.

Does the Philippines Embassy in Thailand require Filipinos to wait 10 days before they can get married?

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried asking them directly thumbsup.gif

Why get married in Thailand? I guess because it's cheaper 50 baht!

Or maybe they both are living in Thailand?

Just a thought...
