April 26, 20169 yr I'm too tired to list them, so copy pasta. Fly from Chiang Mai International Airport, Chiang Mai to: Bangkok – Don Mueang THB 432 Hat Yai THB 1,090 Phuket THB 1,190 Krabi THB 1,090 Khon Kaen THB 432 Pattaya - U-Tapao THB 690 Not al great, but some interesting enough if anyone is planning a trip or a visa run. April 26, 20169 yr the 432 are few and far between...then they jump to 790....and a 170 fee to pay with a CC. Lots of smoke and mirrors with AA, however I haven't seen Nok d any good promos in quite a while. I noticed that AirAsiaGo has a little better access to the lower priced tickets..and I think you save about 10% over buying plane tix and then getting a room on Agoda. I got round trip air, and three nights at a three star hotel (right by the MRT) for 109 usd, recently. No ridiculous flight times, either.

I've been to BKK (Don Mueang) and back twice in the last few weeks, 690 Baht on Nok Air. 170 to pay Air Asia with a credit card? Never paid anything. We have a Thai Pannich account and debit card we only use for Air Asia. I think you can pay at 7 Eleven too. Free.
April 26, 20169 yr There is a fee to pay at 7-11. A 590 fare at Nok is actually 839....A 590 at AA includes everything but the payment fee, if applicable.
April 27, 20169 yr Author I think the fee (from memory) to pay at 7-11 is now 100 per booking (or maybe per person) then 30 baht the shop charges in commission, but it's still a lot cheaper than paying by credit card or Paypal. Tried the bank transfer this time, but they only do it with one bank, I was surprised at this. However, Air Asia is a budget airline and they make their money on fees. Sometimes Nok and very often Thai Lion Air is cheaper, both with luggage included I think (can't remember about Nok) or even Bangkok Air is occasionally cheaper, sometimes none of them are even with all the fees added on. The cheap fares might not be terribly plentiful, but they are ideal for people such as my husband and I who are prone to booking a few nights away now and then, don't care about the dates because we're not on any kind of schedule, but that isn't what budget airlines are for. They're for people like us who have the flexibility. And we've snagged an awful lot of them over the years, including several trips on the 'non-existent' free fares' where you only pay fees and admin/booking charges. Return, for 2 people travelling together. They are out there, you just have to be flexible enough to plan around them, and quick enough off the mark (they go very quickly, perhaps that's why you couldn't find many?) or pay full price. Be the change that you wish to see in the world. Mahatma Gandhi
April 27, 20169 yr I looked last night, and the fee was 92 thb...but that was for a oneway...so maybe it's more like three bucks....but AAGo charged 22 Malaysian on the package..

We've flown Air Asia free to Phuket and to Bangkok also (entire family) - we only paid the 200 Baht Airport tax. Once we didn't get to sit together and our child was a baby then so he sat with one of us. Where else in the world can you do that for 200 Baht? Thailand can be amazing at times. If you pay AA with your Thai Pannich debit card, it is totally free.
April 27, 20169 yr Author I am going to have to have a look around for this Thai Pannich debit card as we fly AA a lot. Be the change that you wish to see in the world. Mahatma Gandhi
April 27, 20169 yr I am going to have to have a look around for this Thai Pannich debit card as we fly AA a lot. Ticker symbol "SCB". They are everywhere.
April 27, 20169 yr Its a while back but I thought I paid my last AA tickets with my Kasikorn enabled debit card ?? Anyone know if that still works?
April 27, 20169 yr I have long given up trying to get one of those cheap fares with Air Asia.......after going through all the motions the price is always greater than they advertised?
April 27, 20169 yr Its a while back but I thought I paid my last AA tickets with my Kasikorn enabled debit card ?? Anyone know if that still works? No, going back years now, only the one bank debit card accepted.

April 27, 20169 yr I laugh at folk critizing AA. I just typed flight search bkk/krabi return. Selected random dates early July. 432baht each way good flight times. Mid morning or arvo. The over counter payment is 50 baht for the return ticket. There is a 30baht charge to counter service. That's under 950 return. Yes 7kg carry on only. The biggest sale aa has each year is about 2 weeks before end of financial year. Basically give away prices to boost bottom line for that year. If your retired or not fixed to any timetable you can can fill your year. Rip up tickets if your unable to take a certain trip. You can claim back airport taxes. I took several to udon, ubon, krabi etc. 220baht return. That is not a typo. I go to Saigon every several weeks generally for under 2000baht. Just returned from there yesterday 1600 which was return ticket. Of course these are booked well in advance.

There are a number of ways. The wife sometimes gets a message giving her one hour to take advantage of really cheap flights. I'm not sure where she signed up. Also if you open an account at Thai Pannich Suvanrnabhumi, you get ticket promotions. AA is a fantastic company. I've flown AA perhaps 70 flights and never a single problem. I never check baggage on any airline, or use any of the other services they offer. We usually stock up on tickets when they have a sale. They are so cheap that if you can't make one of the trips, just toss them in the bin. We had a number of 220 Baht tickets in the past, but not in recent years. Nok Air is also good and they have good promotions as well.
April 27, 20169 yr I have long given up trying to get one of those cheap fares with Air Asia.......after going through all the motions the price is always greater than they advertised? To my recollection, I've never managed to get a promo discount with any airline.
April 27, 20169 yr I can never find any deals when I get e-mails from them advertising low fares, and I do look sharpish. Maybe I am just unlucky!!
April 27, 20169 yr So true elekrified. I booked about 30 return flights last late June that go through till august 31this year. No long ago ripped one up for the 2 of us to Surat thani....big deal they were so cheap. Like you have flown with aa almost every other week. Never had cancelled flight. Not long ago had one to Saigon delayed for an hour. As per every airline.

( I dont have a printer ..)
April 27, 20169 yr ^You have to be alert, and book 5 minutes before the offer starts . Rubbish. The offer the OP alerted us to actually was available over week ago. Note my earlier post I did search hour ago and picked random destination and date and zero problem. Also moved dates and same promo fare readily available

You receive email instantly and have 24 hours to pay at 7/11. Show screen shot of attachment and pay. Minutes later you receive aa email with receipt and flight details.

I just paid for a ticket at 7/11 the other day because it was cheaper than using my SCB debit card. Read the fine print.
April 27, 20169 yr If you pay AA with your Thai Pannich debit card, it is totally free. It is not totally free (though still the cheapest). Here are the current fees for each payment method: Internet banking (Direct debit): 40 THB per booking (max 9 guests) Credit card / Debit card: 180 THB per guest per booking Counter payment (7-11): 50 THB per guest per booking
April 27, 20169 yr and add 7% VAT on those fees....but last night they were going to charge me 96.30 thb for a one way using a visa card.
April 27, 20169 yr Try a booking with jetstar ....they leave aa in the shade for booking add on charges, as do many low cost airlines.
