Advice needed: Ground Water Pump is blocked by Slick

please excuse my English, I am a non native

I am seeking an Advice:

my Thai Gf ( living very much Countryside) having Problems with their Ground Water Pump

the pumped Water before was already quite dirty with Mud and now, sometimes it blocks completely

the Family is thinking about to find a Solution, maybe buying a new and bigger Pump will solve this Problem

in my Opinion, the Solution is finding the right Filter on the Groundwater Level, what could protect the Dirt being sucked with in ...

Now - are they right - or am I right?

Please - if somebody of Knowledge understand the Problem and might help, can you write

the Thai Expressions for the Solution and where to buy ( around Korat )

it might happen every Day somewhere in Thailand....

just bring the pump about 30 centimeter up

Need to check if the well is running dry, if yes, it would be an opportune time to clean and extend the bottom before the rains start.

The end of the suction pipe should a have minimal one way valve to prevent obstacles and keep the pump from running dry. If all checks, just raise the intake as suggested above.
