Movie Showtimes

I hope this is the correct place to post.

What or who decides about the showtimes of new movies in the cinemas?

Recent example, today I planned to watch the Jungle Book in IMAX or at least 3d. Forget it...

Every cinema is full of Captain America Civil war, you could watch every 20 minutes starting.

Additionally the unusual release date on a Wednesday.

Jungle Book not even 2 weeks released.

Today already hard to find a time in English language.

Is that the influence of the distribution companies that they force the cinemas to do like this? They get discount or something? Or some studios want high rental payment?

Anyone who has an idea, please welcome to share

release date for Captain America was today wasnt it? Cinema was rammed. Movie fairly much like every other one.

They only last a couple of weeks here it seems. . probably demand..get in quick or.miss it entirely .

Major for example have a range of cinemas and experiences for the Captain. 2d, 3d, 4d,, English with thai subs, thai dubbed, probably thai dubbed with english subs.

Maybe official release of Captain America today but definitely yesterday already as some kind of preview. Don't understand the logic as it was in every cinema and both chains, SF and Major. Probably marketing to get the Wednesday discount go'ers
