technologybytes
I assume the car is registered in your name, not in your wife/girlfriend's name and not on finance. You will not need to go to the transport office. There are two forms that you will need to sign and you will provide evidence of identity (passport copy) and copy of proof of address (Tabien Ban, Work Permit or letter from immigration). Its easier than you might expect. Its important to note the most of the confusion arises from the need for proof of address (which need not match the address in your car blue book). For Thai's its always a copy of Tabien ban (House Book), obviously most foreigners do not have a house book, which nessesitates either having a work permit or using a letter from immigration or even your consulate if they provide that service. Broadly speaking the requirements to sell are similar to those required to buy. If you sign the transfer form and the proxy form (download or get from vehicle office) then there is absolutely no need for you to go to the vehicle office at all. OP does need to collect his money as well - best done in his bank with cash and deposited immediately.
stubuzz
So, Copy of passport, copy of work permit and 3 signed forms and no need to go to the transport office. Would it be wise to get id from the buyer in case they do not go to register the car?
JAS21
Surly you would make a 'bill of sale' and both sign and each keep a copy...you could put both your IDs on the document ...no probs then
