Hello Everyone,

I will be traveling to Thailand for just under 90 days and I need to find some travel insurance (incase I'm hit by a runaway Tuk-Tuk). :o

I would like to know if anyone has had a particular experience, positive or negative, with any of the listed companies.

Information regarding actual claim payment would certainly be nice!

CSA Travel Protection

Plan: Web Direct

HTH World Wide

Plan: TravelGap Vacationer

IMG International Medical Group

Plan: Patriot International

Multinational Underwriters

Plan: Atlas International

Thank you! :D:D

My advice is not to bother.

Medical care is so cheap in Thailand, at least by US standards, that just paying cash for almost anything you might need (other than treatment for something truly serious, I suppose, like a heart attack) would probably cost less than your insurance premiums. And all the major hospitals cheerfully take major credit cards.

RE: OldAsiaHand

I thought about that as well. I have decided to get some travel insurance this time; because, the last time I was in LOS I was almost run over by a dump truck in Krabi, in the middle of the night/early morning. That incident convinced me that I should consider some kind of coverage for any future visit.

Take the insurance.

If you don't believe me, do a search on GBP 30,000

and read the story.
