Yes unfortunately ( for a buyer ) the second hand price of cars here is still crazy......

Yinglucks first car program helped a little bit to lower prices but they are still high.

They are still high and the cars and pickups are still on the sides of the roads; unsaleable ..

You can buy a new pickup or a new car for less than 500,000 baht .

The Amy are back in our area, their tank transporters parked up, and a scout car stopped off outside a local shop.

The tank transporters, Mercedes Modal 3850 built about 1985.

All vehicles still operational ?

Yes, this was taken in central Lopburi, so I have been told they all come up from Saraburi, all loaded up with tanks or heavy army personnel carriers, I have seen their convoy on the road before,  but this is the most I have seen in one place.

If you are from the UK, the Thai Salisbury Plaine ( Salisbury Plain is a big area of heathland used by the army for exercises )

Just another bus ... but this one caused a lengthy delay on the coast highway at Chao Lao, Chanthaburi, attempting a U-turn in a too narrow section of road, and eventually becoming locked between palm trees and power lines.

We were well back in the queue I got out of the car and walked along to see this masterly display of driving, a 90-point turn ... what was he thinking?

Attached picture dated 12 May 2019 was made on road 359. This so called e-san truck loaded with mansapparang ended in the central reservation. The truck was driving with a speed of appr. 20 km/hr on the highway in the direction of Sa Kaeo. Unfortunately a Toyota pickup did not recognise (or did not notice this truck) and rear ended with a speed of (say) 120 km/hour.  There were 5 ambulances on the spot and some were still coming. The Toyota was totally wrecked (in fact was folded) and there must have been many victims.

A 1958-1962 Fordson Power Major tractor, one of the first Fordson Major tractor's, with cast iron front wheels these are original .and the side pully, used to power barn machinery, mainly roller mills for rolling barley for cattle feed, the pully on the end was added after, here in LOS.

It was running up to a while ago, I would say a couple of hours work it would be running again.

On a farm near me.

RIMG1092 (2).JPG

Not a clear shot, but clear enough to see that the top section of the truck is (at least) just as wide as he left lane.
