Two men shot while eating at KFC Samut Prakarn

BANGKOK: -- Two young men were shot in a KFC restaurant in Bang Phli district, Samut Prakan province around 4am today.

According to witnesses, the gunman and his accomplice parked their motorbike outside the restaurant before the assailant walked into the restaurant alone, wearing a helmet and carrying a baseball bat and holding a gun.

He looked around and then fired three shots into a group of young men who were eating at the restaurant, injuring two of them.

Well no need to worry about a heart attack at least.

Witnesses described the gunman as skinny and about 170 centimeters tall.

Then we can safely say that he isn't a regular customer!

Maybe he was not happy with his meal.

Shooting in KFC Bangphli shop injures two customers



BANGKOK: -- Two customers were shot and injured when two men came into the KFC shop at Bangphli, Samut Prakarn, assaulted and opened fire at them.

The shooting happened at 04.22 am Friday at the 24-hour KFC shop at Kilometre 13 on Theparak road in Bangphli district.

According to KFC employees, the two victims were waiting at their seats after placing order at the counter.

Two men wearing crash helmets came into the shop after parking their motorcycle outside.

The duo went to the two customers and engaged a quarrel and fist fight with them.

One assailant then drew our a pistol and opened fire at both customers.

They then ran out and sped off.

Por Teck Tueng Foundation rescuers arrived after being alerted of the shooting, and brought the two to Bangphli hospital for emergency treatment.

Police said they were looking into CCTV at the shop to hunt down the two men.

Once again, a contradiction in the two stories....First the man walked in with his accomplice, looked around, then fired at two men who were eating. Second, story, the gunman walked in, with his accomplice, had an argument and fist fight with two men waiting for their order........Reminds me of another ode.....One fine day in the middle of the night, two dead men got up to fight, back to back they faced each other, drew their swords and shot each other.

I appreciate two men are hurt, and I wish them a speedy recovery, but I am probably just getting immune to all this violence of late...

Bang Phli is a rummy place.

Quite a lot of shift working factories around there and in King Kaew, with plenty more further 'down' the road in Bang Bor/Bang Po (among others). Bang Phli is the transport 'hub' for works transport. Quite a few restaurants/boozers open til 4am (ish) in that area too though a few closed down in the last few years..... .

Even the Ladyboy's Booze and Chicken stall outside Makro just past the footbridge is open till 6am sometimes.
