My girlfriends missing friend

Hello,

I don't know if anyone can help me. But I figure it worth a shot. My girlfriends friend recently has gone missing for over a month. The missing girls mother has gone to the police. The police have been able to find video of her last sighting. She was seen getting into a car on the video and that's the last anybody has ever seen her. For some reason the police are unwilling to investigate this. Maybe the police recognize this person and are scared? I'm not to sure why they would refuse to look into this matter. Since the police are unwilling to do anything what could a person do? Or maybe there is nothing that can be done and the girl is either missing or not alive. Maybe this is a lost cause but anybody's thoughts on the matter would be appreciated.

Who has the video?....Is there any kind of history that points to this happening in the past?....I would get all the facts and then go to another precint. Maybe turn towards social media.

The police had the video on one of their cctv street cameras. Social media may be the best bet. I don't believe this has happened in the past.

They got the car reg .number on the video ?Maybe get a private detective ,who can access the Police data base on to it .

why not it seems a reasonable thing to do if people are worried, could offer to pay the cops to do their job of course
