gerryBScot
Is there an age limit on a truck in terms of eligibility for first class insurance? My truck was first registered as new in 2008 and so is approximately eight years old. I seem to recall reading somewhere that vehicles over seven were ineligible for first class insurance. Could some one please advise?
Sophon
It depends on the insurance company, different companies have different rules. My pick-up is from 2007 and has first class insurance with AXA. Sophon
gerryBScot
Thanks Sophon I'm with AXA too so that is reassuring.
OccamsRazor
10 years is the norm before having more difficulty getting 1st class. The 7 years is when you have to go through vehicle inspection prior to paying your road tax.
Don Mega
It is my understanding if the vehicle has 1st class then it can be continued indefinitely. If they vehicle does not have 1st class getting it once it hits 7 years old becomes difficult. Ive no actual first hand experience though. My pickup is older than 7 yrs and has had 1st class since new. Edited May 24, 2016 by Don Mega
