Having worked on the servicing of Smelter Furnaces ]Electric & gas powered] for umpteen years I can assure you that nobody would get burnt from a molten metal explosion during casting nor metal transfer if they were equipped with the suitable full safety gear [clothing ETC}. It is a common occurrence for these Molten Metal "Explosions". Part of the normal work practice.

The smelter bursted ?

Being treated with burns?

So they burn you to cure you

The quality of English amazes me

Is this not an English language site whistling.gif

Yes, they were made to lie in bed while the works of a Scottish poet were read to them as a cure.
